Development of a mobile application Traffic accidents in fact continues previously started project. Speaking about Andrej Godec and his thesis entitled: Developing application for displaying dangerous road sections in the Republic of Slovenia.
For the purpose of safer roads the main goal of the mobile application Traffic accidents is to accurately pinpoint location of an accident. Not to mention more understandable and unambiguous data about it as well. On the other hand we encountered a large number of incomplete and incorrect data, which rendered the accurate localisation of the accident more difficult. With this in mind the main function of the application solves the aforementioned issue. In other words the mobile application Traffic accidents will determine the exact location of a traffic accident using the device’s coordinates.
Mobile application Traffic accidents, will save the competent authorities time and efforts previously wasted on ascertaining the exact event location. The software will perform this part of the task instead of using descriptive geographic location of a traffic accident from the database. Not only the localisation of an accident will be simplified but also more accurate as well. A site of a traffic accident will thus be more easily and accurately determined. In consequence the real time map integration will eventually contribute to lowering the number of traffic accidents on our roads.
